This trip takes us through this unique wildlife wonderland, where we can appreciate Darwin's theories amongst the numerous species of reptiles, birds, and mammals. The Galapagos archipelago consists of 13 major and 6 minor islands plus 42 islets, which all possess an untamed beauty and enchantment, giving the impression that you are on another planet. Rising from the floor of the Pacific Ocean up to 1,700 meters, the islands are a naturalist's paradise, with more than 875 species or varieties of plants and a fish population of 289 species from 88 families, many of them unique to the area. Whether snorkeling with sea lions, searching for giant tortoises or watching the mating dance of the Blue Footed Booby, the Galapagos offers a truly amazing spectacle. We start off by discovering the mainland and the city of Quito before we jump on a flight to Galapagos Islands to explore the islands and give a helping hand to accomplish conservation work.
