We work very closely with local communities around Australia to provide cultural awareness immersions, some exclusive to our school programs and including travel into restricted areas.
The cultural student journeys are an opportunity to understand the land through Aboriginal eyes. Our experiences will help students understand a culture going back tens of thousands of years and one possibly very different to your own lives.
We spend time on country with the local communities, caring for the land just as their ancestors did. The local peoples have learned to adapt to their environment and to live in harmony with their natural world.
All our indigenous immersions programs include a welcome to country with local traditional landowners and focus on connection to country. They provide a real insight into one of the longest surviving cultures on the planet.
Our indigenous immersion programs can include elements of indigenous arts, bush tucker, animal tracking, ancient tradition, identifying medicinal plants and living off the land. Your school group will participate in team building, learn about connection to country, storytelling, engage in physical activity and hear about the deep respect for the environment.
We can explore key areas, rich in Aboriginal heritage and hear stories come to life that have been passed down from generation to generation.
