Ready to roll sustainable & regenerative trips
We are super excited to announce the release of 15 new world class school group itineraries travelling to the exciting and less travelled corners of Australia and New Zealand.
These educational travel programs have all been put together especially for school travel. All programs will inspire students through service activities and challenging outdoor pursuit. They will also educate through interactive experiences and provide the opportunity for the group to appreciate the stunning environments with active conservation work.
Key features and highlights of our new school trips include:
- Purpose built cultural awareness programs with leading indigenous figures and tourism officials in Australia and NZ
- Conservation service programs with biologists, marine biologists, scientists and naturalists and animal rehabilitation programs like the Huskie zone rehabilitation and rescue centre in Christchurch and the Turtle marine conservation program on Fitzroy Island in Northern Queensland
- Many of the programs are not just sustainable, they are also regenerative, aiming to leave the area in a better condition than original found
- Each program has physical challenges; like kayaking around the Whitsunday Islands, trekking in Karijini National Park, snorkelling and exploring the reef systems at Ningaloo or cycling along old rail trails in NZ
- Your group can study alternative food produce in Margaret River or see alternative energy in action at various wind farms
- Many of the programs travel to areas that are restricted and require permits to enter, so they are exclusive and well away from normal tourist heavy “paint by numbers” locations.
As with any World Expeditions Schools school group adventure, we will always modify programs to suit each schools learning outcome requirements, budget and focus however the featured programs are a great starting point.
