Welcome to the UNESCO World Heritage Blue Mountains! Please make your way to our Blue Mountains Headquarters in Katoomba (26 Parke St) by 1100 (bus transfer provided upon prior arrangement from Sydney) for a welcome, initial briefing and wetsuit fitting. We will then depart by bus for Mount York where we will have lunch and welcome to the program with Kyla Tustin. You then join our expert rope access Guides for an afternoon abseiling session. Mount York is on the traditional lands of the Dharug people and a great place for our activities as it allows us the thrill of abseiling on introductory friendly cliffs up to 25m high. We will start off on small cliffs moving on to more stunning larger descents as we progress through the afternoon. Following our session we depart for our exclusive campsite in the Kanimbla Valley (approx 45 minute drive). On arrival you will settle in to camp and enjoy dinner around the campfire, followed by a Stargazing session (weather permitting). Overnight camping, twin share tents with stretcher beds/mattresses (sleeping bags provided).

0800 Breakfast 0900 Depart Campsite for Wollemi National Park. You are in for a treat today as we depart for a canyon adventure in the Wollemi National Park where you will be briefed by your Guides. On this canyon adventure there is no abseiling or liloing, but loads of fun, fantastic waterjumps, waterslides and short swims. Twister Canyon, also known as Sheep Dip Canyon, consists of a narrow twisting chasm with a chain of pretty pools, natural waterslides and small waterfalls. Twister finishes with a unique plunge into a circular pool. After the high rolling action of Twister, an easy walk through lush rainforest brings us to the majestic Rocky Creek Canyon. Much deeper and darker than Twister, Rocky has a sublime, awe-inspiring atmosphere. Rocky Creek starts with several short, dark swims and climb-downs. After a superb waterslide (which can be done face first) the canyon twists and turns with amazing rock walls. At around 1630 the group will assemble at the vehicle and return to our campsite. Arrive at campsite around 1730, freshen up and free time until dinner. 1830 - Dinner followed by facilitated session with Kyla Tustin. Overnight camping

This morning we depart our campsite and head to The Gully in Katoomba for a Welcome to Country and Indigenous Cultural Immersion with Dingo Darbo (Uncle David King - Gundungarra Elder). In the late morning we then depart for our drive to Ganguddy, enjoying a picnic lunch en-route. We arrive at our bush camp at Frank's Breakaway around mid-afternoon. We will build our tents and settle in to camp. This evening we will enjoy dinner around the campfire followed by a facilitated session with Kyla Tustin Overnight Camping

Meals:  B,L,D

0800 - Breakfast Around 0900 we depart from our campsite and commence a 5km walk via Pagoda Lookout to Ganguddy (Wollemi National Park) where we will enjoy a Wiradjuri Cultural Immersion. After a picnic lunch by the river, we have a safety briefing and then kayak along the Cudgegong River, where the shoreline is dotted with remarkable pagoda rock formations, soaring sandstone escarpments and winding river valleys. This kayak provides a peaceful and spectacular paddle with your experienced and knowledgeable guide providing interpretation and fascinating facts about the natural and cultural history of the area. We will have a facilitated session led by Kyla this afternoon in a quiet location by the river. Around 5.15pm we depart in our buses for a short drive back to camp. Freshen up and free time before dinner. Overnight camping

Meals:  B,L,D

This morning we wake to the sound of birds and stunning views over the valley. After breakfast we break camp and head to Lithgow and the Secret Sanctuary native wildlife sanctuary. Here we will meet the Sanctuary Manager who will give us an overviews of the great conservation work undertaken by the volunteers at the Sanctuary. The overall goal of Secret Creek Sanctuary is to save endangered native species. Many animals roam free in their natural environment within the sanctuary. We aim to see how the sanctuary helps animals like Brush-tailed Rock-wallabies, Long-nosed Potoroos, Rufous Bettongs, Parma wallabies, Red-necked Pademelons, Red-necked Wallabies, Swamp Wallabies and Emus. The animals roam safe and free in the sanctuary and we will have behind the scenes access. Some animals are held in purpose-built facilities including the predators: Tasmanian Devils, Eastern Quolls, Spotted-tailed Quolls, Alpine Dingoes and also Koalas and Mountain Pygmy Possums. Following this introduction, we'll remain at Secret Creek Sanctuary for our community service activity planting native shrubs and grasses in the fire-affected area along the restored sanctuary walk. At around 2pm we'll conclude our activity and drive via Hassans Walls Lookout to our HQ in Katoomba where our trip concludes.
