Without a doubt travelling through the rural and urban settings of Vietnam by private coach is one of the finest ways to discover this fascinating country. Our complete service includes modern air conditioned vehicles, expert local guides, with many opportunities to meet the people who live and work in the ever-changing landscape of quiet villages to busy cities whilst also appreciating the stunning rural of rice paddies and coconut groves.

We start the adventure by navigating the old quarters of Hanoi, before heading to Rural Mai Chau for our community project in the beautiful Ban Buoc. We then head to Ha Long bay where we set sail amongst the lime stone pinnacles and learn from experts about the social, environmental and economic issues impacting the status of the areas UNESCO World Heritage listing.

Learning outcomes for students

A World Expeditions Schools adventure is a unique learning experience. Our journeys are designed to encourage thriving and positive youth development along with leaving the communities and environments where we travel in a better condition than when we arrived.
The programs are designed to enhance the following life skills that will help you grow as an individual:
• the confidence to lead a group and make decisions

• the ability to adapt to new environments outside of their 'comfort zone'
• to appreciate and care for the natural environment. The environments we trek through are beautiful and often pristine, invariably the students will gain a deeper appreciation and understanding about how their individual actions impact on the environment
• build strong friendships and bonds with their peers and also the local peoples
• basic outdoor skills obtained on trek such as personal hygiene, pitching a tent, helping to prepare meals
Importantly our adventures help increase general well-being and build resilience in young citizens to help them deal with adverse situations in life.

What's included

8 breakfasts, 1 brunch, 7 lunches, 9 dinners & bottled drinking water. Snacks and fruit during the project days. All dietary requirements can be catered for.
Private air-conditioned coaches used for all airport transfers and group transport throughout
Comfortable hotel accommodation and air conditioned 'junk' on Ha Long Bay on a twin-share basis
Expert English speaking tour leader who will carry a group medical kit

Adventure touring

Although there is no commitment to extended physical activity on this journey we nonetheless want to keep the ‘accent on the active’. We therefore advise that any physical training you complete before undertaking the trip will be to good effect and enhance your travel experience. Remember the fitter you are the more enjoyable your experience will be. Please ensure that you discuss with your excursion organiser all health related issues which may impact on your enjoyment of the tour.
