Experience the traditional Berber hospitality. There is ample time to relax amongst the walnut trees, sipping mint tea and taking in the pace of life in the mountains. A truly unique opportunity to truly immerse yourself into the real Moroccan culture by staying with the Berbers for 4 nights and taking part in a community service project alongside the locals. We will continue our journey to Essaouira which is a port city and resort on Morocco’s Atlantic coast. Its medina (old town) is protected by 18th-century seafront ramparts called the Skala de la Kasbah, which were designed by European engineers. Old brass cannons line the walls, and there are ocean views. The trip concludes in Marrakesh, a former imperial city in western Morocco, is a major economic center and home to mosques, palaces and gardens. The medina is a densely packed, walled medieval city dating to the Berber Empire, with mazelike alleys where thriving souks (marketplaces) sell traditional textiles, pottery and jewelry. A symbol of the city, and visible for miles, is the Moorish minaret of 12th-century Koutoubia Mosque.

After all the excitement, packing and preparation it is finally time for us to head to Morocco! Its an early check in for an early flight so we optimise our time in Morocco. Upon arrival the World Youth Adventures team will be waiting for you to take you by private transfer to Aguersioual to meet the Berber community, have lunch in the mountains and look at the community project with the locals that you will undertake for the next few days. Overnight in village house in Aguersioual

Meals:  L,D

Over the next 3 days you will be working alongside the local Berber community to help with their community project. During the course of the community project the sub groups will complete various tasks alongside the locals as well as having the opportunity to go for day hikes from Aguersioual (approx. 2-4 hours per trek) according to the schedule allowances trips could include; Imlil (visit Kasbah Du Toubkal, to Tizi n'Aguersioual and similar.Such walks can be planned with the tour leader at Aguersioual, depending on the weather and project plans. Overnight in a village house in Aguersioual

Meals:  B,L,D

After breakfast we will sadly have to say goodbye to our wonderful Berber hosts as we leave the mountains and head for a women's cooperative to witness them in the production stages of the famous Argan Oil. You will also have the opportunity to buy yourselves some of the product as souvenirs to take home. We will then continue our journey to Essaouria which has managed to retain its traditional culture and character. For most of the year, the wind blows so hard here that relaxing on the beach is impossible, meaning that the town is bypassed by the hordes of beach tourists who descend on other Atlantic Coast destinations in summer. Known as the ‘Wind City of Africa’, it attracts plenty of windsurfers between April and November, but the majority of visitors come here in spring and autumn to wander through the spice-scented lanes and palm-lined avenues of the fortified medina, browse the many art galleries and boutiques. Watch fishing nets being mended and traditional boats being constructed in the hugely atmospheric port. You will have a guide to help you explore this beautiful medina and all its secrets. Overnight in Hôtel Souiri. Essaouria.

Meals:  B,L,D

After a hearty breakfast you will have some more time in the morning to continue to explore the medina of Essaouira before we continue our journey to the city of history and culture - Marrakesh ( Morning transfer from Essaouira to Marrakech (approx. 3 hrs)One of the most evocative places in the world, just the name conjures up images of this cultural melting pot – sandstone buildings, dusty streets and towering minarets against deep blue skies immediately spring to mind. Known as The Red City thanks to the hue of the thick walls surrounding the old city, Marrakech has been a popular tourist destination in Morocco since the 1960s, attracting everyone from the Beatles to Sienna Miller. It’s a place to engage the senses, nowhere more so than in the famous souks. These vibrant markets are a whirlwind of colour and noise, where throngs of people weave between tightly packed stalls exhibiting pyramids of brightly coloured spices, richly woven rugs and a thousand other exotic goods. Enticing smells waft through the souks, and the clamour of voices haggling and the cries of vendors competing for customers provides a constant backing track to the city.t’s almost impossible to walk through Marrakech for more than five minutes without finding some architectural wonder to marvel at. From the exquisite gardens to the intricately carved archways to the ornate mosques, this is a city that displays its history in its man-made environment. The Medina in particular is a sight to behold: designated a UNESCO World Heritage Centre it’s a wonderful mix of Amazing, Arabic and Moorish architecture. Free time before dinner to marvel at all the wonders that Marrakesh has to offer.. Overnight at Hotel Le Grand Imilchil 3*
